Good Food saw a huge increase in visits to its Easy paella recipe on Sunday ahead of the Euros final.

Pimms was the most popular drinks recipes on the site yesterday, thanks to the Wimbledon final.

Good Food, the UK’s number one food media brand, has revealed that its Easy paella recipe saw an increase of 44% in traffic yesterday (Sunday 14 July) compared to the previous Sunday, while recipe searches for Spanish classic side dish Patatas bravas were up 175% against last Sunday.

The Good Food website got over a billion page views last year, and while, as ever, traditional Sunday lunch recipes topped the Good Food traffic charts yesterday, in amongst the popular Yorkshire pudding and Roast potato recipes, were Easy paella, ready in just 40mins, and Patatas bravas which can serve 10-12 people.

Good Food fans also opted for Tapas as their top-scoring food of choice, with views for the Spanish sharing plates recipe up 175% week on week, while others used the Good Food curated Big match collection to cook trending party food recipes including Guacamole, Tomato salsa and Nachos

Good Food’s Managing Editor Lulu Grimes said: “It was a classic weekend of sport including at Good Food where paella and tapas vied for top spot against the traditional Sunday roast. Big sporting occasions are the perfect opportunity for friends and families to gather for easy sharing platters that can be ready in a matter of minutes, accompanied by a favourite summer drink to toast the wins or commiserate the losses.”

According to Good Food page views for drinks, fans raised a toast with Aperol spritz and Margaritas, although Pimm’s was the most popular drinks recipe on goodfood.com yesterday, coinciding with Wimbledon finals.
