Radio Times Premieres New Season of Apple TV+’s Slow Horses at BFI
Tuesday 3 September 2024
Apple TV+’s savvy take on the classic espionage drama Slow Horses returns for an explosive fourth series.
The cast Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves and Christopher Chung attended the BFI screening on Monday 2 September, in collaboration with Radio Times. The preview showcased the first episode from the upcoming fourth series of this popular adaptation of Mick Herron’s espionage series.
The three stars who have been with the show since season one spoke with Radio Times Podcast Editor, Kelly-Anne Taylor, who was leading the Q&A portion at the end of the special BFI screening.
Speaking at the screening of the first episode, Christopher Chung was asked what stood out to him about the series before he got cast, to which he said: “I wanted to work with Gary Oldman.”
“I got the scripts, and I think we were in lockdown. It was the first meeting that I had just out of lockdown, and it was very odd, because everyone was wearing masks, and I was allowed to take my mask off for like 10 minutes to do the tape so that people could see what I looked like. And the joke’s on them!”, Chung joked.
The fourth series of the show sees a whole host of new cast members join, including Tom Brooke, Joanna Scanlan, Ruth Bradley and James Callis.
