Health Social Media Creator (salary up to £35,000)
12 month fixed term contract

About the role
Food Group is home to Good Food and olive, two of the UK’s leading food media brands, which have been inspiring and helping the nation cook for over 35 years. In a rapidly changing media landscape, it’s essential that both brands must constantly innovate to defend their hard-earned status.
The Health Social Media Creator & Manager is at the heart of Good Food’s ambitious upscaling of established and trusted health content across all digital platforms, with a focus on video and social. The Health Social Media Creator & Manager will be video-first, responsible for producing end-to-end videos for a busy social schedule that will support an innovative and fast-moving project with high commercial targets.
The Health Social Media Creator & Manager will work in our health team, collaborating closely with our Health Editor and Deputy Health Editor. They will also collaborate with our central social team, commercial team, project managers and senior editorial leaders. They will also spend plenty of time in the Good Food Test Kitchen with our expert food team.
As a Health Social Media Creator, you will;
- Ideate, plan, film, present and edit regular short-form social videos (approx. 4 x 30-45 second videos per week)
- Advise and approve accuracy of nutritional content for team health videos
- Write captions for social content and supporting articles when required
- Occasional checking and updating of nutrition-based health guides, ensuring latest research is included and stats are up to date.
- Create sponsored content for Good Food channels
- Manage submissions from regular health contributors (briefing, feedback, scheduling)
- Schedule content across TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest and WhatsApp
- Regular top-line reporting
Requirements
- Nutrition qualification; interest in helping people understand what makes a healthy diet and in educating about the benefits of eating well
- Understanding of what appeals to the Good Food audience
- Social savvy: appreciation of what makes successful short-form health video content, and plenty of ideas around formats and topics that would fit the Good Food brand
- Production and presentation of social video – including scripting, self-filming and video editing using Premiere Pro
- Interest in digital publishing and creative and editorial concepts for inspiring our audience
- Excellent communication skills: clear and concise writing style, ability to get across scientific information in an authoritative but engaging manner using everyday terminology to non-experts
- Experience using content and video management systems
