About the role

We are launching an Experiential department to unlock a new revenue stream and deliver world-class brand experiences. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to be a key part of a new and strategically important business unit from the ground up, building on the strong reputation of Immediate in both the live and creative partnerships spaces.

The Head of Experiential will be responsible for driving new business, and delivering high-impact, creative experiential solutions. They will also support the Director of Experiential in setting the vision, strategy and launch plans for the new unit, and be the key point of contact working closely with the Imagine sales team on all relevant experiential briefs that Imagine sources from their media agency partnerships teams.

This role combines entrepreneurial drive, creative ideation and pitching, with a strong desire for commercial success, in an innovative and autonomous environment. In the first instance the role will be an internal secondment for 12 months across 2026.

As a founding member of this team you will;

  • Support the Director of Experiential in building the experiential strategy and processes aligned with broader business goals
  • Work with the Director to develop, launch and build a strong IMEx (project name only) brand in market
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across relevant and emerging sectors, focusing largely on direct clients and PR agencies
  • Work closely with Imagine partnerships to deliver on experientially focused briefs from media agencies
  • Be the key experiential point of contact for media partnership briefs that contain experiential elements, working closely with Imagine on the pitch and end to end process
  • Focus on proactive outreach and pitch development to secure new Experiential clients
  • Present and pitch creative ideas with clarity, passion, and impact
  • Negotiate commercial terms and ensure profitable delivery
  • Drive effective margin and revenue growth through innovative solutions and a keen eye on profitability 
  • Focus on the development of bold, original, award-winning experiential concepts
  • Closely collaborate with internal teams (including IMLive, Imagine Partnerships, Studio, Editorial, Marketing) to maximise cross-department opportunities and bring winning ideas to life
  • Deliver best-in-class customer service to ensure optimal campaign delivery and client renewal
  • Foster strong cross-functional relationships to maximise internal capabilities
  • Be an ambassador for Immediate Experiential, internally and externally 
  • Maintain and communicate accurate and timely pipeline and forecasts, covering for the Director in all reporting requirements in their absence

Requirements

  • Experience in experiential marketing, brand event activations, or creative partnerships
  • Proven success in new business development and revenue generation
  • A portfolio of creative work and successful pitches
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proven track record of delivering on new initiatives and ideas
  • Tenacious and commercially driven, with a passion for new business
  • Highly creative and innovative, with strong conceptual thinking
  • Strategic and analytical, able to balance vision with execution, with a keen eye on margin
  • Accomplished presenter with the ability to inspire and engage clients at the most senior level
  • Customer focused with the innate ability to build deep and meaningful relationships at all levels 
  • Ability to test and learn at pace and adapt quickly and positively to change
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles, challenges and brand strategies 
  • Strong numeracy and negotiation skills
  • Exceptional communication and relationship building skills at all levels
  • Consistently demonstrate a deeply collaborative approach across all teams 
  • Proven ability to pro-actively deal with challenging situations and demonstrate a positive mindset towards problem solving
