Team Leader, Affiliates and SME Growth (up to £45,000 plus commission)

About the role

In this newly created role, we are looking for a driven Team Leader, Affiliates and SME Growth to join our IMDirect team. This position will lead a small team focused on accelerating affiliate and ad revenues from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). You will play a pivotal role in defining and scaling a high-performance outreach and partnerships programme, driving measurable commercial growth while ensuring alignment with Immediate’s values and audience needs.

As a Team Leader, you will;

  • Lead a team of 2 Sales Execs working across affiliates and fixed fees, whilst driving digital revenues across one of Immediate’s leading brands
  • Deliver own personal targets to drive significant revenue growth across our Affiliate brands
  • Develop, communicate and implement annual commercial business plans for IMDirect, with the support of the Advertising Director
  • Analyse sector, market and customer trends leveraging platforms such as Tableau and other CRM systems to identify new products and commercial revenue streams that will add value to IM Direct & Affiliates
  • Support the Advertising Director as and when needed
  • Support the team to maintain a minimum standard in activity KPIs, new business wins, series bookings, digital conversions, and proposals ensuring all activity is logged on Salesforce
  • Work closely with the central Commerce Team to execute and evolve a commercial strategy that unlocks fixed fee budgets and secures competitive CPAs
  • Identify and close new high-value affiliate partnerships and SME campaigns whilst balancing growth and margin
  • Manage the delivery and optimisation of CPA-led campaigns across Immediate’s digital portfolio
  • Work closely with Client Leads within the ads team to identify, execute and evolve a commercial strategy that unlocks marketing spend within the SME market
  • Maintain and grow existing relationships within the affiliate industry through B2B marketing, attending events and organising regular Publisher Presents. Entertain clients and agencies (with hospitality budget guidelines) 
  • Liaise with trading & agency teams, product, editorial and marketing to optimise affiliate placements and identify new opportunities
  • Ensure seamless communication between stakeholders for campaign delivery and performance alignment. Oversee partner onboarding, campaign execution, and performance tracking

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a commercial or partnerships team, ideally within affiliate marketing, digital media, or B2B SaaS/SME sectors
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior team members
  • Demonstrated success in closing and optimising B2B/B2C affiliate and partnership deals
  • Commercially astute with excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Strong analytical mindset with confidence using data to drive decision-making
  • Proficiency in sales pipeline management and CRM tools
  • A proactive, “growth mindset” approach to business challenges and innovation
  • Familiarity with SEO and social channels would be an advantage
  • It’s a bonus if you have experience with CPA-led campaigns and an understanding of affiliate tracking platforms
