BBC Gardeners' World Magazine launches new podcast series: Dangerous Plants

The latest series of Gardeners’ World magazine podcast titled Dangerous Plants, is hosted by author, conservationist, and horticulturist, Frances Tophill.
The 8-part series Dangerous Plants – launches today (Tuesday 8 October) – focusses on many areas where plants can be dangerous, have seen to be dangerous or have dangers associated with them. Murder mysteries… poisonous potions… mind altering… wily witchcraft… crime-solving… hedgerow pleasures… perilous industries…plant pursuing. Plants have the capacity to hold secrets, kill, enchant, thrill, heal, harm, entice and nourish.
The series covers forensic botany, witchcraft, ethnobotany, foraging, plant hunting, Agatha Christie’s poison plants, the Alnwick Poison Garden, and cotton (from slave trade to farming and environmental impact).
