Subscriptions Marketing Manager (up to £46,000)

About the role

This Subscriptions Marketing Manager is a key revenue driving role within our Acquisition team. You will work on some of our key print and digital products, to drive acquisition and help us develop an ROI marketing approach. We’re looking for someone who can add to our team skillset with their subscription background, coming from a DTC background. 

This role will include day-to-day managerial responsibilities, helping one or two team members prioritise work effectively, making and implementing suggestions on which tasks can be done differently, and helping us implement marketing best practice that support our ambitions to become best-in-class DTC marketing team. 

 

As a Subscriptions Marketing Manager, you will;

  • Help with day-to-day team management and workload prioritising
  • Developing and implementing customer acquisition marketing strategies, working cross-functionally in pursuit of our trading and marketing KPIs 
  • Scoping new marketing formats to test based on your expertise and full-funnel knowledge; sharing learnings across the Acquisition, CRM, CRO, and Social media teams 
  • Helping to execute long-term marketing planning, able to effectively bring our brand and publishing stakeholders together to build measurable brand awareness 
  • Ensure our promotional calendar within Monday.com is kept up to date on a monthly and quarterly basis, ideally planning at least two months ahead
  • Identify and perform key marketing message, placement, and creative tests to improve ROI
  • Test and optimise creative design and marketing messages, working in collaboration with other teams to execute testing plans across various marketing channels
  • Be responsible for planning, buying, and optimising customer acquisition campaigns across various marketing channels and Immediate Media brands 
  • Analyse the effectiveness of campaigns across multiple channels and geos, optimising campaign and creative performance to meet KPIs 
  • Work closely with our creative team to introduce new ad creatives, collaborate on creative strategy, and help develop breakthrough creative ideas to draw in new users  
  • Support the launch and expansion of customer acquisition in new, exploratory markets and channels using competitive and market intelligence 
  • Be responsible for producing reports and presentations, including daily pacing and tracking against plan and providing insightful commentary and recommendations 
  • Proactively contribute to team meetings, team initiatives, and knowledge-sharing 
  • Working incredibly closely with CRM and CRO teams to feed the right customer into our brands, always holding yourself accountable to LTV and allowable CAC metrics 
  • Forecast, analyse and provide insights into acquisition promotions, using tools such as Google Analytics and Tableau, to optimise performance to meet KPIs
  • Diligent with budgets, always looking to improve ROI and comfortable with making daily optimisations that over time deliver brand and commercial growth for acquisitions 
  • Managing the invoices and administrative tasks that are part of the acquisitions workflow, ensuring financial information is captured and processed correctly 
  • Collaborating with wider business stakeholders such as Product and Tech where needed to work through acquisition customer journeys

Requirements

  • Well versed in digital marketing channels, able to take on print marketing as part of the overall mix 
  • Proven experience in performance marketing and/or mobile user acquisition 
  • You have strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions 
  • Excited about being part of a transformation
  • Comfortable with prioritising effectively, and based on what delivers most impact
  • Experience leveraging acquisition channels to drive revenue/user acquisition growth 
  • Experience working within a distributed team across different geographies 
  • Direct experience with analytics and attribution solutions, with exposure to data visualization and BI tools 
  • Highly organised and accustomed with tools such as Monday.com 
  • A great cross-functional collaborator who pursues marketing excellence and can influence others effectively
