About the role

As the Test Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital part in the day-to-day work we carry out in our brand-new start of the art Test Kitchen. Each month we make 40 + food videos, develop and test many recipes for print and digital publications, as well as carrying out product and food reviews. This role will be reporting into the Test Kitchen manager, and you’ll be helping to make sure our recipes are as good as they can be and that our video days run smoothly.  This is an onsite, full-time job, and we are at work in the Test Kitchen most days.

You’ll love this role if;

You like organising things, from our pantry and walk-in fridge and prepared food for videos to our equipment in the test kitchen, this will be your world to help run efficiently.

You love food. Tasting and eating are a vital part of all our jobs.

You are a confident cook. For food prep and recipe testing, we don’t expect chef level skills, but you’ll be confident in your ability to cook.

You are interested in food video. It’s a large part of our work.

You’d like to work in a fun and dynamic team-based environment. We work very hard, but we also have fun, and we need someone who likes to join in.

Requirements

  • Good cookery skills. We make recipes for home cooks, so your skills need to reflect this.
  • An enthusiasm for and interest in different cuisines.
  • Recipe testing experience or similar would be useful but not essential.
  • Good literacy and numeracy with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Great organisational skills with a methodical approach to tasks.
