Events Intern – part-time (£25,000 pro rata)

About the role

You’ll be supporting Immediate’s internal Events Team on a part-time basis, on a four-month contract, while studying. You’ll support at our flagship events, whilst also giving administrative support on other smaller events and activities. The Events Team works closely with the wider People Team, as well as many other brands & teams across Immediate. 

As Event Support, you will;  

Support Events Team

  • Be on site support at the Flagship events, helping the Events Team on all tasks during the day. Support Event Executives on All Company Days, including speaker liaison, general running of the day and other ad hoc duties. 
  • Hands on event support, including being a runner, checking in guests and set up.
  • Research ideas and creative content for events as directed by the Event Executives.
  • Support the team on other ad hoc duties where required, including managing guest lists, liaising with suppliers, sourcing suppliers and sourcing products for event goody bags
  • Work on risk assessments for events.
  • Building and editing registration pages for events. This may include writing basic copy where required.
  • General office admin, including raising PO’s, organising the events cupboard and any other ad hoc duties.  

 

Support Senior Corporate Designer

  • Creating simple branded event assets where required, such as posters, holding slides and basic signage, under direction of the Corporate Designer.
  • Sourcing branded merchandise where required, and keeping an audit of current stock.

 

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in an Events/Hospitality/Creative environment
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Working knowledge of Canva
  • Happy to work extended hours at short notice when appropriate and work late if the event requires
  • Able to work from our Hammersmith office 1-2 times per week, whilst studying
  • Strong IT skills, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Photoshop, Excel and Google Docs 
  • Great verbal communication skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders 
  • Good social media skills, including Tik-Tok
  • Good content creation ideas
  • An eye for layout and design, plus knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is desired but not essential
